Here's what happened...

I started drinking 2/3 litres - of water a day

- here’s what happened

One of the habits me and my nutrition group started working on this year was water intake.

To be honest, it was some that had really fallen by the wayside for me, telling other folks to drink their water whilst myself having the bare minimum and sporting stinky pee (especially over Christmas).

So on the first week of January our focus to get this going was to start the day with a glass of water and continue from there, to get in our 2-3 litres per day.

It started with taking a glass of water to bed to make sure I drank that first thing.

This then progressed to me buying a HUGE water bottle (3.4 litres) so I had a visual for the day.

I made this easier for myself by filling the water bottle at night.

My main issues with drinking the water first thing were originally that it’s too cold out of the tap so it would give me ‘ice cream heid’ and also that I can’t drink water on a minty clean mouth. My old routine was get up, bathroom, do face and teeth, dressed, downstairs, coffee and water if I could.

My new routine is - get up, go downstairs, get the coffee going, down a load of water (not too cold as has sat there all night) - like maybe 500ml - 1ltr, then have my coffee. I then go upstairs, do face and teeth, get dressed and am ready to go.

This is a couple of tweaks to my routine than now enable me to start the day already having got my hydration on track.

I’m up very early for work and can’t eat at that time so breakfast doesn’t come in to it until later.

So - what’s the result?

Well at first I definitely felt like I needed to pee - a lot.

This didn’t last too long - I mean I probably pee more than what I used to but at least now it’s a healthier colour.

TMI incoming but it has made me far more ‘regular’ shall we say 💩

Sometimes I’d find myself (previously) going several times in a day and never really feeling ‘empty’ if you know what I mean.

Now I’m usually there first thing after my first large intake of water, if not then definitely after the coffee. And I usually don’t need to go much more throughout the day.

The BLOAT I was carrying about really subsided! We all get a bit bloated at Christmas etc with the extra food but I felt like I’d been bloated for a good while. My tummy and all my abdomen area really felt like it came down and I can fit in my jeans without feeling like I’m being cut in half. I’m not a big jeans wearer normally as they can be super uncomfortable but I may wear them more now.

My skin - this has been the one thing that has been complimented by others - its kinda glowing, and feels really good!

I’d have to say that along with my upped water intake they has also been an increase in fruit and veg so some of the results may me due to a combination of all of these changes.

Give it a try!! Let me know how it works for you 😍
